He was an active member of the Dunlap Kiwanis working on the annual pancake day, selling roses and working with Northwoods Mall to provide a signing Santa at the mall for hearing-impaired children. He coached Little League and Pony League in Dunlap for a number of years, announced football games for Dunlap High School and was timekeeper for many years at DHS basketball games. He held a variety of jobs over the years but retired as a security guard at Caterpillar’s East Peoria plant.Ī devout Catholic, Mark was a member of Holy Family parish in Peoria.
